In the south of Herzegovina, not far away from the ancient Roman settlement near Capljina, is Hutovo Blato, the famous settlement of migratory birds. This National Park has been a shelter for hundreds of species of birds and game. Its waters are rich in eel, carp and other fresh water fish. Many of the tourists visiting Mostar and Medjugorje stop here for a photo-safari and to enjoy the magic of nature and the taste of its famous cuisine. Those who have come once... always seem to come again! The park is ideal for hunting and fishing, and passionate huntsmen from all over Europe come during the hunting season.

As is true for the whole country... the war has left its marks here. But Motel "Karaotok", which was totally destroyed, is now rebuilt and open for guests, and the society "National Park Hutovo Blato" was refunded to preserve the wild game. We warmly invite you to one of BiH most unique National Parks and only bird reserve. Bring your binoculars and your camera... you won't want to forget this experience!
