This area stretches over 1700 square kilometres from the outskirts of Kariba Village and has a network of unsurfaced roads. Game viewing on foot is allowed, if the necessary permit is obtained from the warden. Viewing is reputed to be good, especially in the late afternoon. With the close proximity of the village, there is no lodge accommodation for visitors in the park. However, there are camping and caravan sites at the mouth of the Nyanyana River some 28 kilometres from Kariba. More info on: www.africantravel.com
