Victoria Falls, Zambia

The world-famous Victoria Falls are situated right on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the powerful Zambezi River crashes down the Batoka gorge, at rate of between 20 000 and 500 000 cubic metres of water a minute. The spray can be seen miles away and the roar of the water can be heard long before the waterfalls are in sight.
From the Zambian side, it is actually possible to cross the falls over a dramatic, narrow footbridge through swirling mists… leading to Knife Edge Point for stunning views. More info on: www.luangwa.net
