Halfway between Sebha and the coast, east of the Tripoli-Sebha Highway, are the three adjacent Al-Jufra oases of Houn, Sokna and Waddan. Bizarrely, Al-Jufra was announced as the capital of Libya in 1987, but the idea never caught on. More info on: www.brightfocus.com.ly
