The town of Teyateyaneng, north of Maseru, is renowned for its arts and crafts, especially Lesotho's famous wool and mohair rugs and tapestries. There you can also watch the women weavers as they work. The Basotho word Teyateyaneng means "the place of quick sands". Just outside of the town, you can buy some of the best tapestries in the country from the St. Agnes Mission. More info on: www.africa-ata.org
