The Ghanzicraft co-operative, run by Danish volunteers, was started in 1953 as an outlet and training centre for San crafts-people, and all proceeds still go to the artists. It is excellent for San crafts, and prices are 30 to 50% lower than in Maun or Gaborone. You will find a range of dyed textile work, decorated bags, bow-and-arrow sets, springbok-skin dancing skirts, leather aprons, musical bows, plastic bead or hatched ostrich eggshell necklaces, woven mats, hats and ingenious dancing dolls.
