A craft shop, which is stocked only with handcrafted products made in Botswana, offers something by which to remember your visit. Nearly 200 local artists are supported through this craft shop and crafts come from as far away as Maun and Thamaga, although most are made in villages around Francistown. An Information Centre offers advice on where to stay in town, how to find other museums, or what else to do in Francistown and beyond.
The Supa-Ngwao Museum is the cultural centre of northeastern Botswana located in Francistown with exhibits depicting the heritage of the local people and the history of Francistown. As a window for culture and tradition in northeast Botswana, its valuable collection includes pots, baskets, musical instruments and woodcarvings from the local Kalanga culture. Its most extensive archive, The Haskins Archive, reveals something of Francistown and Botswana's past. More info on: www.botswana-tourism.gov.bw
