This is a national museum and was founded in 1975. The museum specializes in architectural and contemporary architecture and focuses particularly on Norwegian architecture after 1900. The permanent exhibitions shows a history of buildings; 1000 years of Norwegian architecture. This is a sophisticated presentation of the building of Norway with lots of details models of important buildings. The changing exhibitions focuses on both old masters and todays promising young architects, with themed exhibitions on key periods and the relationship between society and architecture. The museum also has a collection of drawings, photographs and models wich includes Henrik Bull, Arneberg and Poulsson among others. This collections is opened by appointments only.
