Ruggell, Liechtenstein

Shirley Goodmann
Displayed: times. To the north of the village there is an area of approximately 90 hectars/222 acres which has been declared a nature reserve. In the “Ruggeller Riet” you will discover an unbelievable diversity of plants. Species that are threatened by extinction such as the Rhopalocera and the Numenius arquatus find their ideal habitat in the moor. An event which must not be missed is when the lilies start to bloom at the beginning of June. The point where the canal opens out into the “Alpenrhein” which has been “renatured” recently also attracts many lovers of nature. More info on: www.tourismus.li
