At a 19kms distance from Pointe-ŕ-Pitre, easily accessible by the highway, Goyave stretches out along the coast of Petit Cul de Sac Marin and the banks of Petite Rivičre ŕ Goyaves, from which it takes her name. This agricultural village of about 5000 inhabitants is surrounded by huge sugarcane fields and banana plantations. Several trails will lead you into the rain forest for unforgettable hiking tours, but you also can enjoy the beach.

To visit:
Moreau waterfalls: trail in the deep rain forest, crossing several times the bed of the river. Access after Douville, the trail is of medium difficulty and takes you to the bottom of the falls, after a short stop at the cascade of the river Mangles, in about 2h30. A swim in the waterfall basin is possible.
Jardin d'eau de Blonzac (Waterpark): breeding of ouassous (crayfish), leisure activities on ponds and rivers.
Habtitation Bois Debout: former planter's house where used to live Saint John Perse.
Beach of Sainte-Claire with grey sand.
