Hualien Ocean Park, which occupies about 50 hectares, is Taiwan's first theme park focusing on oceanic ecology. Its setting, on a mountainside facing the Pacific Ocean, is an attraction in itself, and the park also offers a natural scenery area and a five-star hotel.
