Displayed: times.A town in west of Lithuania, located between the Zemaitija upland and the Pajuris lowland. It is the centre of an administrative district and has a population of 7.000. The settlement is known to have existed since 1533. Baubliai, established by D. Poska in 1812 inside oak tree trunks is considered to be oldest museum in Lithuania. Medvegalis, raising 234 metre above sea level is the highest hill in Zemaiciu uplands. It serves an excellent observation platform for the whole Medvegalnis area. source: neris.mii.lt
