Displayed: times. The town of Xai-Xai is situated on the Limpopo River is a sprawling settlement of houses, markets and shops. Tourists generally only stop off for supplies in Xai-Xai with the real attraction being the beach situated about 10 kilometres to the east. The bay has a coral reef running about one kilometre off shore which offers protected waters for swimming and snorkelling. The coastal town has become a little run down of late but it has some thriving restaurants, a campsite and a new hotel is to be completed towards the end of 1999. More info on: www.world66.com
