Ha Bac province is situated on the alluvial northern plains. The province has many historical and cultural vestiges, including beautiful pagodas such as But Thap and Phat Tich Pagodas. It's also the homeland of many traditional festivals. These can be classified as:

1. Festivals in connection with traditional agricultural and religious: Phat Tich Pagoda Festival, Cao thuong Transplanting, Tam Giang boat racing festivals.

2. Competitive Festivals: Wrestling in Gia Luong, dagger, sword flourishing and foot racing festivals.

3. Festivals in memory of heroes and historical figures: Hung Vuong and An Duong Vuong's offerings, Dong 's Festival.

4. Cultural Festivals: Lim (Quan Ho singing ), Dinh Bang's "Cheo" ( a variety of Vietnamese traditional comedy ), etc.

The abundance of different landscapes plus numerous archaic structures make Ha Bac an interesting area frequently visited by domestic and foreign tourists and cultural researchers.
