Buenos Aires, get around, Argentina

Displayed: times.Public transport in BA is good, if crowded during the rush hours. There is a fairly large metro network, a large range of bus routes and many suburban railways used by commuters. For moving around in the most concentrated areas at rush hours, sometimes you lose too much time by using taxis, as the traffic jams are constant. Finding your way around is easy, most of the city is divided into equal squares with block number in the hundreds. Most streets being one way with the adjacant paralels going the other way, so beware that the bus or taxi won't follow the same route back. Going by taxi, you simply need to tell the driver street and block number, eg. 'Santa Fe 2100' or two intersecting streets eg 'Corrientes y Callao'. The LUMI is indispensible map which includes all bus routes.
