Just 14km from Victoria Harbour is Pulau Kuraman, a small, 5sq km island with two beautiful white beaches that are absolutely perfect for a frolic in the sun or a picnic by the sea.
A beautiful coral shelf around the island offers an added attraction to the visitor, who can easily view the formations in the shallows (starting at a depth of about 8m).
For those who love to dive and hunt for wrecks, head on out to the famous Blue Water Wreck that is located north-west of Pulau Kuraman, some 34km from Labuan itself. This is all that's left of the m.v. Mabini Padre, a trawler from the Philippines that sank in 1981. East of Kuraman is the Cement Wreck, the Tung Hwang - a freighter that hit a sandbank and sank in 1980 while en route to Brunei carrying a cargo of cement.
