Of the many splendid islands on MalaysiaÂ’s east coast, Redang stands out as a haven for divers. From the amazing variety of sea life to the rich coral bed, the undersea experience is one many of us yearn for from time to time.
How to get there
Pulau Redang is off the coast of Terengganu so you must first go to the stateÂ’s capital, Kuala Terengganu. A flight from Kuala Lumpur takes 40 minutes while a bus ride takes about eight hours. Your jumping-off point for Redang is Marang, a fishing village 15km north of Kuala Terengganu. YouÂ’ll take approximately 30 minutes by car to reach Marang Jetty and a further 45 minutes by speedboat to get to Redang.
