Pulau Rusukan Kecil, Malaysia

There is a Pulau Rusukan Besar and there is also a Pulau Rusukan Kecil. The latter is only 8ha in size.
Located near Pulau Kuraman, Pulau Rusukan Kecil has no shortage of beautiful coral reefs. Most of them are of the Acropora and Platygyra species. With crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, snorkelling and diving are major pastimes here. Camping is also favoured, as is picnicking.
Check out the wreckage of an American ship that lies south-east of Pulau Rusukan Kecil, just 1.4km from the Australian Wreck. It is the sunken USS Salute, a US Navy minesweeper that went down in 1945 - ironically, sunk by a mine.
