Pulau Tenggol is a place where there is something for everyone. Whether itÂ’s diving or just lounging around, visitors to this marine sanctuary will find something to their liking.

It is especially great for divers as there are 20 dive spots here. Some of the more popular ones include Batu Cancang that is well known for its clear waters and good visibility. If you would like to see turtles or whale sharks, then there is Batu Tokong Kamudi.

Divers will also be thrilled to know that there are caves to explore and a shipwreck to check out. Even the resident resort, Tenggol Aqua Resort, offers lots of fun for its guests in terms of water sports.

How to get there

You can get to the island by speedboat from Kuala Dungun. The trip from Kuala Dungun to the island will take about 45 minutes. There are two nearby airstrips to Kuala Dungun; one in Terengganu and the other in Kerteh. The flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kerteh takes about 50 minutes.
