Pulau Rusukan Besar Beach, Malaysia

Next to Pulau Kuraman is Pulau Rusukan Besar, which is about 14ha in size. Divers can check out the coral reefs found at the western, eastern and southern parts of the island.
For those who enjoy snorkeling, head over to the eastern and southern parts of the island. Here, the waters are clear and great for diving.

If you wish to remain dry and still enjoy the sights of the underwater world, there are glass-bottom boats which you can use for this purpose.

There is also a wreck near Pulau Rusukan Besar. The Australian Wreck lies to the south-west, about 23km from Labuan. It is said to be thusly named not because it is Australian in origin, but because it was sunk by the Royal Australian Air Force in 1945! The ship was apparently originally a Dutch freighter that was captured and used by the Japanese early in World War II.
