As successor of the New Gallery, the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz (Museum of Art Linz), with its international collection, is one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Austria.

The museum houses outstanding works of modern art by Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Corinth and Pechstein. It shows paintings and sculptures from the fascinating inter-war period and important works and ensembles of international art from 1945 onwards.

Today the collection contains almost 1500 works of painting, sculpture and object art, about 10.000 works on paper and 1200 examples of art photography.
