Seven miles east of Stratford-upon-Avon, Compton Verney is an innovative new art gallery, set in a Grade I Robert Adam mansion house set in 40 acres of 'Capability' Brown landscape. The permanent collection includes Naples, Germany, British Portraits and a rare British folk art display. Compton Verney aims to offer visitors the chance to encounter art in an enjoyable and informal way.

Regular collection tours are available on Wednesdays (2.30pm-3.30pm) and on Saturdays and Sundays (12noon-1pm and 2.30pm-3.30pm) which are free with Gallery admission. Places are limited so please sign up on arrival and meet in the entrance hall.

A contemporary, purpose-built Learning Centre offers a wide range of educational opportunities.

Compton Verney is open from 31 March to 5 November 2006:
Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 5pm
Late night opening on Thursdays to 8pm
Closed Mondays, except Bank Holidays
