The Deutsche Hygiene Museum was built by the architect Wilhelm Kreis from 1927 to 1930 between the Großer Garten park and Dresden's Old City.
The museum represents the most important record of New Realism architecture. All throughout Germany, it is considered one of the most interesting museum constructions of the Weimar Republic.
The museum shows the permanent exhibition »Mankind – Body – Health« as well as special exhibitions about recent and cultural-historical topics from the sciences of mankind.
