The imposing ParsonÂ’s Lodge, one of GibraltarÂ’s most important fortifications, is a must for anyone interested in military history. ParsonÂ’s Lodge is a mini Gibraltar - a narrow limestone dorsal, running North-South, laced with a labyrinth of underground tunnels and surmounted by a seemingly impregnable battery, which has witnessed the development of coast artillery over the last three centuries.

I'll say it's "imposing". I lived in the place for a month by myself, in an Ammunition store room, with the rats, bats, cats & strange footsteps, while I worked on the place voluntarily in 1996. It even features in the B/W film "The Silent Enemy" about Lt. Buster Crabbe.
