Jellyfish, Philippines

Take care if Jellyfish are in season when swimming! I ran into one about 200 yards offshore! It was kind of scary. Check with locals! Every day I would go swimming just before sunset until one day while I was on my swim I felt a sharp pain across my face onto my chest! I thought I was being attacked by a shark!! And was trying to fight the thing which only made things worse as I was churning up the water full of Jellyfish tentacles!! When I realized that it wasn't a shark I swam quickly to shore and when I made it safely to the beach I was out of breath. I didn't know if I was going to die or not!?! I didn't really know much about jellyfish ( I still don't). I knew I was in pain so I needed to get some help so I headed down the beach to Jamelas house and her mother made up some sort of medicince and applied it and after a few days the scars were gone. It was a scary situation and after that I was afraid to go deep into the water! I just swam in the shallows. I am over that fear now though.

Where was it in the Philippines? I'm curious so we can avoid Jellyfishes when we go there next year and would like to know what kind of medicine did the woman give you.
Thanks
