At almost all of the popular beaches there will be a stand similar to the one in the picture selling all kinds of items made from shells and other sea life. Hanging baskets are quite popular. Also the jewelry can be had for good prices. You will have to bargain most of the time if you are a tourist. Actually you will have to bargain if your a local too! The vendors are trying to earn a living so they will charge you whatever they think you are willing to pay. A couple of words of caution. Many of the shells being used for the items might be banned in your home country. I found this out 3 years ago I was bringing some small shells through customs they were taken from me as they were on the "Banned" list. I had now idea!! Also I saw a women given a big fine in the Manila Airport trying to export a big Helmut Shell. She was a balikbayan returning to the states and she was pleading and crying but it didn't work!! So if you want to bring shells out it might be wise to check at the airport customs for the list that is ok for import / export.
