Osogbo is a city in Nigeria. It is located in the present day, Osun state. With a population of 845,957. Osogbo people are of the Yoruba ethnic group, the largest single ethnic group in Nigeria. Osogbo City has a University, called the Ladoke Akintola University. Osogbo City has a Local television and radio station, called NTA Osogbo, Osun state television, Radio Osun, FM Osogbo. Osogbo city has various company like the Nigeria Machine Tools, Osogbo , Osogbo Steel Rolling Company, Sanitary Pad and allied products . etc. Osogbo City is the trade center for a farming region. Yams, cassava, corn, and tobacco are grown. Cotton is grown and used to weave cloth. Hotels in Osogbo include the Presidential Hotel Osogbo ,OSUN CAPITAL HOTEL,Heritage International Hotel Osogbo etc. Sport: Osogbo has a stadium with a capacity of 10,000 and a second division professional league team.
