Description:
Acropolis is the first obvious place of interest when visiting Athens.
It looks particulary wonderful in the evening when there are already very few tourist left and the sun is setting over the city of Athens, making the ancient ruins become red of its colour. Only then, when silence falls over the sculptures of Erechteon with the beautiful Cariatids and temple of the powerful Athena, one can clearly feel the holiness of this place.
The small museum on the top of Acropolis displays the most interesting artefacts that were found among the ruins.
