Displayed: times.Washington Slagbaai was the first Natural Sanctuary in the Netherlands Antilles. It covers almost 25% of the area on the northern part of the island and is home to many species of flora and fauna that make Bonaire an environmental paradise. It offers hills with scenic vistas, vast saline plains, beaches and trees filled with exotic birds. Animal life includes wild donkeys, goats and iguanas. The park is open daily from 8am-5pm although the gates are closed to entrants from 3pm. The entry fee for adults is US$5.00 and US$1.00 for children under 15.
