Netherlands Antilles are two island groups located in the Caribbean Sea - composed of five islands, Curacao and Bonaire located off the coast of Venezuela, and St. Maarten, Saba, and St. Eustatius lie east of the US Virgin Islands. The islands are all of volcanic origin and hilly, leaving little ground suitable for agriculture. Area: 960 sq. km. Climate is tropical; ameliorated by northeast trade winds.
