Climate, Christmas Island

Louvette
Displayed: times.Christmas Island experiences a tropical equatorial climate with wet and dry seasons. The place is located 115 miles north of the equator, so the weather is warm almost all year (the average daily maximum temperature is about 22-28° Celcius). Heat and humidity is moderated by trade winds, especially during the monsoon season - there are also occasional tropical cyclones then, but none has passed directly over the island since settlement.
