Getting close to nature is very easy there... 63% of the island's surface (85 square kilometres) is national park with great variety of flora & fauna. The park protects and preserves a wide range of unique and unusual species and habitats (for example Christmas Island Red Crabs, the world's largest remaining robber crab population).
