The center of Ayia Napa is wild during July/August, the nightlife is fantastic and the place is buzzing until 6am (and later). If you want peace and quiet, try to get a hotel or apartment on the outskirts of the town, also try to check if the hotel is an 18-30 type of place. If you want the wild stuff, then stay in town! Waterworld is well worth a visit, but try to get there by 10.30am as the best sunbeds get taken early.
