Resen is found at 880m above sea level. This is a fruit centre, known for the good apples from Prespa. However, Prespa is known as a tourist centre with summer resorts located on the shore of lake Prespa, at Pretor, Otesevo, and Carina. Mt. Pelister and Galicnic are rising close to Resen. These mountains have suitable slopes for winter sports and summer recreation, and both are very rich in different game. During market days (Saturdays) tourists can buy handy crafts, as this small town is particularly well known for its pottery.
