Gevgelija, Macedonia

Gevgelija is a town on the right bank of the Vardar is close to its confluence with the Konska. It lies at an altitude of 55m above sea level, and is at the southern most point of Macedonia. Many archaeological sites and rich finds have been discovered in the town and its surroundings.
