Kavadarci a town in the Tikvis valley lies at an altitude of 280m above sea level, but has only been mentioned under this name for the first time in the first half of the 19th century. In the village of Vatasa, close to Kavadarci, a monument was erected to thirteen young men who were killed by the Bulgarians during the Second World War.

The town is also known as the heart of the biggest wine region in Macedonia.
The monument is actually dedicated to twelve young men, not thirteen.
Kavadarci is close to the new ski center Kozuv, that has a bright future, considering that is one of the biggest on the Balkan.
Kavadarci is also close to the Tikves lake, witch is a nice place to visit during summer, because temperatures in this part of Macedonia are high during summer.
