Amboseli National Park is located 240 kilometres south east of Nairobi the Amboseli National Park lies near the border with Tanzania and at the northwestern foot of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro. This park is best known for the excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro. This small park this is a photographer's paradise and a very popular Kenyan National Park. Amboseli National Park is mostly composed of a dried up lake basin, although 4 other habitats are found here: sulphur springs surrounded by swamps and marshes, woodlands, open plains, and thorn bush. The National Park embodies 5 main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland. All of the Big Five can be seen here: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Other species found here include: baboon, cheetah, gazelle, gerenuk, hippo, impala, Masai oryx, Vervet monkey, wildebeest and zebra.
