The Matusadona National Park is located on the southern shore of Lake Kariba between the Sanyati Gorge and the Ume Bay. The southernmost two-thirds of the Park comprises steep escarpment and undulating plateau and the northernmost third is made up of flat Zambezi floor. Animal species include: black rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard; impala, zebra, waterbuck, hippo and hyena are also found here. Also more than 400 species of birds have been sighted and recorded
