This beautiful and unusual building is the old mosque, with a unique conical minaret. Famed for its intricate stone carving, it was probably built on the foundations of a pre-Islamic temple, which may be why the building is aligned to the cardinal points of the compass rather than the direction of Mecca as is normal for a mosque.
