Displayed: times. In the political field, Cameroon has undergone a swift transformation from a colonial monolithic styled leadership, dominated by one party. Since 1990, the political landscape has since witnessed an increase in political associations, human rights organisations and media institutions. All of these enjoy a freedom of speech and liberty of association that are strongly enshrined in the 1990 laws of Association. Needful to mention the constant flow of debates and opinions from all political parties represented in the parliament, over the local and International media on issues of national concern. On the Economic front, Cameroon is also coming out of long crises that let to the closure of many privates and state owned enterprises. In a keen attempt to stay out of management, the government has been privatising some of its leading companies to private concern. An important revolution is today observed in the telecommunication sector and Internet cafe are also dotted all over Yaounde and Douala, and pull alot of attraction from the youths who in this medium, have discovered another means of reaching out to rest of the world.
