Travel story: Madagascar 2004: Captain Kidd (day 21)

Again it's raining hard and it lasts the whole day. Despite that we rent mountainbikes and bike to Ambodifotatra, the town we docked at a few days ago. There's a church here, the oldest of Madagascar. It was a gift from the french and dates from 1857.

In between the showers we go look for the pirate cemetery, which we manage to reach through a slippery path full of sharp rocks. It's an overgrown, very old spooky graveyard full of slanting, barely readable gravestones.... More
