The word of the day is chang, and chang means elephant in Thai. This morning after a bit of a fiascoe at the hotel we (my guide Reaw, the driver, and myself) traveled to the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp (Dao interestingly enough means mountain in Thai--I wonder if it means the same thing in Vietnamese, as one of my former roommates was named Dao).
