Travel story: Thailand 2004: Day Thirteen

Friday. My last day in Thailand - I’ll be flying back to Heathrow just after midnight tonight. I wake up around 10.30am, write yesterday’s diary entry, and revert to the melancholy I’ve just had to describe. Being English, I just drink tea until I feel better.

Then it’s off for a last trip to the pool - a leisurely swim, then back to a lakeside restaurant for lunch. My main course is pork fried rice, very nice. Once I’ve finished that, my spicy beef appetizer arrives.... More
