Regarding its lithological aspects, it consists of dolomithic and lime stones coming from the Cretaceous age. Over it, there can be seen younger stones, basically of the type of the lime and clayey stones. The action of the Sijuela's stream has formed a deep gorge with caves and curious natural stone forms like the one called "Fan's gorge".
