I went into town with Mr. de Maurissen, who was kind enough to take me to the Belgian embassy in Cairo. Waiting for me there was a large package full of documents and work my mother kindly sent to me from London, to occupy my spare time on board the Atlantic Express, the cargo ship I shall rejoin in a few days in Port Said.
