Travel story: Alexandria, Saturday the 28th of August

I leave Cairo with the early train to Alexandria. I enjoy the comfort of the First Class and mildly amuse myself with the swinging chairs allowing them to turn 180 degrees to either face the direction of travel or turn against it. As we ride deep into the lush countryside of the Nile delta, I can smell and feel the Mediterranean long before I see it.
