I had one last early dive, just outside of the harbour, to see the remains of the Alexandria Light House, one of the seven great marvels of the ancient civilisations. It was built by the Ptolemies on the island of Pharos, off the coast of their capital city, to ensure a safe return to the harbour for sailors navigating the difficult waters.
