This is the first day of the entire trip that we don't actually have to get up, but Oisìn wants to go and photograph the Luxor Temple in daylight, so we all, except Jo who has more sense, are up at 7 and over the road to the temple. The temple was originally built in the 18th dynasty by Amenhotep III (1387-1350) although it is believed that even then he built on the site of an earlier shrine.
