Arriving at Kairouan, was different. For the first time, we saw tourists. But before we got there, we had a monumental journey in a louage !!!! What should have been easy, turned out to be slightly hard. Basically, from Sbeitla, there is a straight line to Kairouan, but as it was getting late in the afternoon, all louages were going to Sousse, and they would only take us if we paid for the full journey through to Sousse. So, we did.
