These two days we do nothing but enjoying the sun. Ifaty Beach Club is open since a year and is being ran by a frenchman, who, judging from the excellent cuisine, must be a food lover. Pizzas are baked in wood-ovens and there's an abundance of fish, lobster, crab and prawns. All of this at an affordable price. Although the man may behave rude to his staff, (who all adress him without exception as Patron), we know from experience that you need to be strict to local employees if you want to keep a business like this running properly.

We're the only tourists staying here. For reasons unknown to us they're all in the nearby Vovotelo, which we believe has less atmosphear and less comfortable bungalows.

The patron invites us to the birthday party of his French friend. We join a long table at some small cabins down the road and end up in something that looks like a colony of hippies. The french living here seem to automaticaly adjust to their surroundings. Amongst them some greasy, fat guys accompanied by young malagasy girls, from whom they cant keep their hands off (draw your own conclusions here..) We politely thank for the invitation and are glad when we take seat on the beachbeds again.

We buy some handicrafts at a stall on the beach. It's only 8 euros for everything, so we don't even bargain about the price. In the evening we watch the breathtaking sunset.
